Office of the Managing Board of Directors

 

The Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry is managed by statute under the scientific and administrative directorship of a council. The council is made up of scientific members of the Institute and departmental directors who are appointed by the senate of the Max Planck Society. The managing board of directors of the Institute is appointed by the members of the council. It consists of a managing director and two deputies. The managing director is appointed by the President of the Max Planck Society and runs the day to day business of the Institute and implements the decisions of the council. In this, it he assisted by the office of the managing board of directors, the head of the scientific services as well as the head of administration.
